Help

Frequently asked questions.

The short answers. If yours isn’t here, the foot of this page reaches a human.

Which platforms does recto support?

WordPress is live today, connected through an Application Password and the WordPress REST API. Webflow is next. If your site is on WordPress 5.6+ and served over HTTPS, you’re ready — see Connect a WordPress site.

Does recto change my writing?

No. recto turns a phrase you already published into a link to an orphan page. Your sentence is unchanged — one phrase simply becomes a link, and only after you approve it.

Do I have to connect Google Search Console?

No, but it’s recommended. With it, recto ranks orphans by the impressions they’re already earning, so you fix the most valuable page first. Without it, recto ranks by link structure. The connection is read-only — recto never writes to Search Console.

What is an anchor credit?

A credit is spent only when recto generates an AI anchor suggestion. Crawling, orphan detection, ranking, publishing, and verification are all free. Bring your own key to stop the meter. Full detail in Anchor credits.

Is my data safe?

Your WordPress Application Password and any API key are encrypted at rest. recto uses the Application Password only to publish links you approve and to verify they went live; it never stores your real WordPress login. Search Console access is read-only.

What happens to my links if I stop using recto?

They stay. Every approved link lives in your own CMS, in your post’s published HTML — not in recto. Cancelling changes nothing about links you already approved.

How do I add a second site?

Stack a code to raise your site limit, then connect the new site the same way as the first. See Add another site.
